How to use your old sarees to new Outfits.

In our house we all have clothes which we don’s use it and such clothes where fabric and the cloth is good we don’t get heart to throw them in trash or giving to some one else. Here are the few ideas how you can re use it. Put a check to your old clothes and follow the below ideas.

(1)  Make duppatas from old sarees :-

Because of the diying of the saree or due to some reasons like dry clearing or colour shade of the saree we may not be able to wear the fadded saree. So what do you do it with that damged saree ? No worries you can simply make a part of that silk saree to duppata and do some embellishment with stones or kundans and make it a stylish duppata. Pair this duppata to your anarkali or to a slit chudidar. You can use it as odhni as well. 

(2)  Make Kids frocks or lehenga from old sarees :-

In 70’s and 80’s in a family if their are 2 to 4 baby girl kids are their our grannis and mom’s use to make a lehenga with sarees to minimize the cost. When you have a slightly colour faded saree or damaged saree you can make either a lehenga or a frock for kids and get a matching blouse to make a ultimate look to the lehenga. 

 

(3)  Kurtis and Anarkalis  from old sarees :-

The best idea to use the old sarees are making kurtis. Get them stitched from your tailor according to your style. You can stich it as anarkali or slit chudidar and to make your chudidar more intresting just add some motifs or embellishment with stones or kundans and finish your look with matching duppata or legging. Irrespective of the fabric you can make kurtis out of old sarees. 

(4)  Make Skirts from old sarees :-

Are you the lover of long skirts no worries if you have a old printed sarees in your wardrobe which you are not wearing. Well the present trend is printed skirts if you have old printed saree which you are not using you can make it a long skirt and just add a matching plain crop to your skirt and finish your look with some beautiful studs.
