As we all know that many of our sarees have some sentiments attached to them and are very close to our heart, but at the same time we find them torn at many places which makes us feel sad. Today I will mention some beautiful reuses of these torn sarees. If your old chiffon saree is torn from the pallu or edges you can attach a silk border at the edge to get rid of the torn part. You can also use Kundan work borders, Katha stitch borders with some nice hangings at the edges. This gives a completely new look to the saree.
SALWAR SUIT MADE OUT OF OLD CHIFFON SAREES
You can use your old sarees to make nice Kurtis, as we can use the pallu part for the top and the inner part to make salwaars or palazzos. Even a layered dhoti style salwar can be made with your saree. This idea works really well as the layers would fall beautifully with this material. For the dupatta you can use another chiffon saree with contrast design or color. The attire as a whole will give a modern look to your image.
LEHENGA OR A HALF SAREE
If u do not have enough material/ cloth for your entire outfit you can just make a chiffon lehenga and team it up with a silk dupatta, after using in lehenga the rest part can be used to make a blouse or a small lehenga for your daughter.
A SUMMER MAXI DRESS
We can never get enough of maxi dresses right? Just pick up those old chiffon sarees and make a long gown or a maxi dress to beat the heat of summer and at the same time look stylish and beautiful.
KAFTAN STYLE KURTA :- One of the best reuses of your old saree is just to take the untorn part and make a nice kaftan dress you can either use a printed saree or some even some light work saree to make your kaftan team them with straight pants and it can be your party wear the dress with almost no cost. As you all know that the length of a saree is quite long you can stitch two kaftans out of one saree to gift one to your close ones.
SHRUGS AND JACKETS
To use your old saree to make a modern and trendy dress what better than jackets can be stitched. You can pair these jackets or shrugs with your pants or jeans.
Kids Dresses or Lehengas :-
Making kids dress with old sarees we are seeing this since olden days and we keep experiment specially on kids outfits with old sarees.
