With increasing socializing choosing the right dress creates stress in our minds when we get a wedding invitation. Shop on time and try them out well in advance to avoid last moment confusions. Gone are those days when we could repeat the same dress in the same form for different parties with similar gatherings. So this summer wedding season, we would share some useful fashion tips to make you feel comfortable and confident. This would surely help you not to overdress or under dressed and feel embarrassed.

If we talk about the wedding ceremonies there are plethora of functions, but the main ones are the Mehandi, Sangeet and the wedding.

Talking about the Mehandi function, which is usually a day party, dress-up light. Choose the colors, which the bride will usually not choose. Go for an easy outfits which are comfortable and easy to carry. Go with a long skirt and crop tops or shirt style top or lehenga with crop tops. Select a pastel or bright shade with floral prints or bold flowers. This looks great during a daytime party.  Yellow, orange and pinks work really well. Carry a crop top or a simple dress and use accessories to make the same look gorgeous. Choose drapes over work to make it a masterpiece yet not to heavy.

For sangeet event do not stick to the typical chaniya choli; try out lehengas with a crop top or peplum top or long kurta to give the girly look. A dhoti with a fitted heavy blouse also looks great. You can choose a  lehenga with kurta or you can team up crop top on same lehenga with duppata or lehenga with peplum top or full length Anarkali or a two layered Anarkali with a jacket and team them up with a straight pant  or legging.  Sharara suits with short top also go good for sangeet and mehendi function event and these outfits are easy to carry. Remember to buy or arrange for the jewelry and shoes and they would play an important role for the final look.


Avoid the bridal colors. Remember you are not the bride; so do not wear too much jeweler. It’s not unusual to see guests loaded with jewelry. Pick up the color as per you choice but prefers darker tones if it’s an evening wedding. For day wedding beige and gold also does wonders. Use gold to enhance the color of the garment.

A few tips would also include getting the booking done for the makeup and hair do artists to avoid last moment rushes during the wedding season.
